A Baylor Ecosystem Group | Consulting and Legacy Strategy
Two days later I was in open heart surgery. What followed was not just a recovery. It was a reckoning.
I went through financial devastation. I lived in an RV. I watched everything I had built fall apart while I was trying to hold my own body together.
The people I loved most family, people I had trusted with my heart and my story chose themselves over me. That betrayal did not come from strangers. It came from inside the house. That kind of wound does not show up on a medical chart. But it is real.
She was my anchor. My witness. The woman who had seen all of me. Losing her while I was still in the middle of my own rebuilding was a grief I do not have words for. I showed up for her in her final season with everything I had left. And when she was gone I had to find out who I was without her.
For four months I was alone with God, with stillness, and with the truth of who I was underneath all the loss. I came back on November 23, 2024. Not fixed. Not finished. But clear.Clear about what I am called to build. Clear about who I am here to serve. Clear about the legacy I intend to leave for my eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Most people call themselves coaches. Some call themselves consultants. I am neither and I am both because what I actually do does not fit neatly into either category.
A Business Ecosystem Architect designs the full environment in which a business, a mission, and a legacy can survive, grow, and multiply across generations. The ecosystem includes your brand, your revenue streams, your systems, your funding strategy, your leadership development, your partnerships, your platform, and your legacy plan.
None of these exist in isolation. They are designed to work together.
That is the difference. I have been doing this work for more than 16 years across more than 70 nonprofits and women-owned businesses. I do not hand off a plan and disappear. I build with you and I stay until the work is done and the growth is real.
